The hotel offered affordable prices and even had attention to detail, such as providing basic amenities in the rooms. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure my stay was comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the hot tub in my room, which was a great bonus. Additionally, the hotel's location along State Highway to Rotorua was convenient for exploring the area.
Everything was satisfactory, no improvements needed.

We really loved having a room with a bathtub. Suitable place for discovering Rotorua. There is Devon Sea Foods serving quick meals 20 mins walk from the hotel...
Could not be improved in any way!

I recently stayed at a motor lodge along State Highway, and I was pleasantly surprised by the value for money. The prices were much more reasonable compared to other options in the area, making it a great find. The attention to detail was evident in the easy check-in/check-out process and the inclusion of free wifi. The hotel's location in a quiet area, yet within walking distance of downtown, was a definite plus.
All aspects of this hotel were satisfactory.

Friendly greeting. Location of motel to city. Relaxing environment
Its not that I didnt like. I thought the credit card number was for insurance sake, I had the intention of paying cash when I arrived but the credit card had already been used to pay for it. Its just that the credit card didnt belong to me as I dont own one.

Parking close to room, clean and roomy, quiet location, lovely towels, comfortable bed, fair price.
Nothing to mention.

The owner was helpful in helping me book a Maori village tour at the last minute and was helpful in assisting me to get wifi access, which was very low to nonexistent from my unit, the furthest from the office.
I didnt realize the rooms were facing the busy street and have locking sliding glass doors but no real door, which would have been preferable for safety reasons for me. Also, it seemed like the room, although neat and orderly, had not been cleaned in a while as there was dust and dead bugs there. The redeeming aspect was the low cost for a private room with a bathroom and the wifi access when I got access and the helpfulness of the owner.

Great location in the city center, close to shops and restaurants. The room had a spa bath which was a nice surprise. The bed was comfortable and had clean bedding.
The hotel was very dated and desperately needed upgrading. The room was musty, smelled of smoke and the windows did not open to allow fresh air in. The bathroom was old-fashioned and poorly maintained, with cracked and discolored fixtures. the stay was unpleasant and overpriced for the poor quality of the facilities.

Ace Motor Lodge is fairly well situated for both shopping and tourist attractions. The duty manager was polite and greeted us with a smile. His English language skills were reasonable. Our room was ready when we arrived. It was clean and reasonably comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. We liked that the room had a refrigerator, microwave oven and a good size television screen. The parking was convenient.
The room seemed to have been recently repainted but the general appearance of the room was very shabby. The bathroom vanity had long passed it's used by date and really needed replacing urgently. There was only one armchair and the only other place to sit was on dining chairs or the main double bed. As the lodge is situated on the main (and very busy road) all the windows should have been double glazed to cut down the noise levels. The windows in the toilet and bathroom need security stays for guests and their luggage safety. There was no utility booklet to give directions on use of the television and channels or directions on how to contact the manager or order breakfast.

Great budget stay in the heart of Rotorua! The motel was close to all the main attractions and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, tidy, and had a lot of space. The kitchen was well-equipped with all necessary appliances and there was plenty of hot water for a nice shower. Despite the motel being located on a busy street, the room was quiet and peaceful for a good night's rest. A great value for the money!
The bathroom was a bit outdated and could use some renovations. The towels were small and rough, making it hard to dry off after a shower.

Good location, polite staff, nice room, includes a nifty bath tub (some can even call it a jacuzzi).
A bit far away from the center of the town, poor bus services, about 1 mile by foot.

the spa bath was great, large room
the star gazing room, unable to cover the skylight meant it never got dark, and flip open windows didnt let in any draught so room very air-less and hot
